The light is brilliant and it shocks the eye-balls of anyone that dares to stare. Orange was once a beautiful shade, livening up anything and anyone it touched. Of course until we were face to face with orange on this day. How it grazes our skins and burns our foreheads; weren't we the ones who once stepped out to get a tan?
The heat is shocking and people are running naked on the streets. What streets? Firey rage sucks up every inch of land and everyone is scattered like a careless drop of marbles. There is no telling where they are running to, given there is no place to run.
How steamy the climate and there is no sign of the moon. The last time the moon left us, we took for granted that we will see it again. That's the problem you see, we have been taking everything for granted and were never really thankful for anything. The result? Heat so hot, our earth has become the new mercury.
The light continues to strike fires, the waters dry up to leave exposed coral that will also soon burn to ruin. Dead cattle paints each town red and dead fish stink up every inch of the way. When was the last time we had a meal? Can't remember. For the moment, we are surviving on raw flesh, any that we can find whilst on the run to nowhere.
Hard to tell, who's who. Thick coats of ash from the fires rest on just about everything. Cars, dogs, toddlers and their prams, adults and all. Calling out to anyone is pointless, only screams and raging fires can be heard. But even if there was a chance that someone heard you, you wouldn't know what to say. That someone wouldn't know what to do.
No where to go. No one to hear you. Increasing hunger and savage behavior. Exceptionally high temperatures and death in the air. This is it, as we race to the final few hours.
